He learnt here how to make Kebabs, Parantha, Halwa and traditional Muslim food.In 2010, they met Navneet Kalra (Dayal Opticals). With his vast experience in marketing and management he offered a very nice project to Khan Chacha and his sons which was appreciated and executed.

The first restaurant was started by Mr Gurmukh Singh, master chef at Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s kitchen, at Moti a Khan during the days of partition where he brought 03 special dishes namely Tawa Chicken with Brain, Liver Dana Tikka and Mutton Barra (Tandoori Meat) from Peshawar, Pakistan and has transformed the way Punjabi food throughout Delhi is savoured. Over the decades, each new wave of settlers brought with them their own culinary practice which, with time, blended into the Indian Punjabi Cuisine as it is known today.

Kundan Lal Gujral was born in the first decade of the twentieth century in Chakwal, Undivided Punjab (now in Pakistan). Having lost his father at the tender age of ten, he started looking for avenues to support the family. Kundan Lal was the first in Peshawar to dig a tandoor right in the middle of the eatery. Since then, Peshawar was introduced to the culinary art of Tandoori chicken by Legendary Kundan Lal. This was a grand success. Soon Kundan was in demand for Tandoori delicacy at social gathering and wedding feasts where he would use an improvised tandoor.
